An antique French terracotta plaque of a gentleman. Rear ticket reads Mon Dangleterre fondee en 1853. We believe this is the man depicted. Plaque was supplied by Couhault Suc of Paris. Signs of age as detailed below.
Sourced: Normandy, France
Made: Paris, France
Material: wood, terracotta, fabric
Size: roughly 27.5 x 27.5 x 4.5 cm – 11 x 11 x 1.8 inches
Weight: 1.5 kg (over 2kg when safely wrapped so expensive to ship)
Condition: in good antique condition, well looked after over the years, plaque has revolved and shifted slightly in the frame over the years, hanging hook has been re-attached at some point and looks like it could do with re-attaching to avoid any accidents but we found it hanging on a wall where it had been for many years, some dust to inside of glass, back is nailed on and a semi specialist job to remove and reposition plaque… please see all pictures
