Globes de Mari??e or Marriage Globes were gifted and displayed in homes to commemorate the couple’s marriage union. They would be proudly displayed and would hold symbolic keepsakes such as the bride’s wedding crown which would rest on the throne’s velvet cushion. Many have lost their glass over the years this ones is still present. Lots of signs of age as detailed below.

Condition: in antique condition with signs of previous use and display, some tarnish and patina to metalwork, very dusty, one of the side glass panels is moving, flowers, fabrics and ribbons droopy and dusty, needs a good clean, back comes off for cleaning adding parts etc, please see all pictures
