Globes de Marie or Marriage Globes were displayed in homes to commemorate the couple’s union. They would be proudly displayed and would hold symbolic keepsakes such as the bride’s wedding crown which would rest on the throne’s velvet cushion. Many have lost their glass domes over the years this one is still present but has broken near the bottom. We cannot guarantee that the dome will survive transit as it is so the dome is an optional free extra in this sale. It could be cut down and made good and the internal display reduced in size.
If you do not require the glass the cost of international shipping can be reduced by 50%.
We often have a few of these in store.
