A vintage French chair with thick cushioned seat and backrest in red. Covered with a thick red pleather like material. Not leather. These chairs may be older than quoted but we have dated them based on the covers which are circa 1960’s. These may be refurbishments and the chairs may be considerably older and likely antique. They are in good condition for their age with some signs of age as detailed below.

Size roughly: 87h x 45 x 43 cm – 34.5h x 18 x 17 inches extreme measurements (seat 45 x 43 cm – 18 x 17 inches)
Condition: in vintage condition with signs of previous use, wear and scratches to varnish, some little chips to the wood in places, pleather (NOT LEATHER) has some light wear but is in generally good order, chairs are structurally strong with no apparant movement in joints, seat springs and stuffing is good, please see all pictures
Weight: 9 kg (heavy and over 10kg when safely wrapped so expensive to ship internationally)

Intended Use: This antique chair was well made for everyday use. Now in it’s retirement years we would suggest it is for light use only but it appears sturdy and strong.
Weight Limit: Maximum tested weight capacity is 100 kg (220 lbs). Exceeding this limit may result in damage to the chair and potential injury.
Condition: Due to its vintage nature, this chair will have signs of wear and tear, being made of old reconstituted wood we cannot guarantee it’s long term durability although it has already been around for 50+ years! Please inspect the chair carefully before use.
Stability: Ensure the chair is placed on a flat, stable surface to prevent tipping. Avoid using the chair on uneven or slippery surfaces. Do not stand on this chair. Do not slide or lean back on this chair.
Maintenance: Regularly check the chair for any signs of deterioration. Do not use the chair if it shows significant structural damage. Clean with furniture polish.
Children: This chair is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children to prevent accidents.
Indoor Use: This chair is recommended for indoor use only. Exposure to outdoor elements may accelerate wear and compromise safety.
