A vintage German ex-museum wooden ornament made in memory of the holocaust during the Second World War. Features the phrase Arbeit Macht Frei – Through work comes freedom which appeared in concentration camps during the war. A warning perhaps, for sure a solemn piece of art. Looks to have featured previously in a museum collection as it features a museum plaque to it’s base.
